Welcome to the CLINF GIS Public Data Repository! Here CLINF shares its unique collation of data on the epidemiology and geography of infectious diseases, from Nuuk in Greenland to Yakutsk in Siberia, roughly covering the past 30 years.
You have access to annual collations of almost all officially reported cases of selected human and animal infectious diseases throughout the Eurasian North. These diseases were selected because of their potential to spread and intensify geographically with climate change; they are potential climate sensitive infections (CSI). Forecasts for the expansion of these diseases in the coming decades are also available.
CLINF GIS includes data on the distribution of human and animal infectious diseases at all levels, from primary data to illustrative maps and map-like animations. Human CSI data include information regarding patient gender and age. In order to allow you to turn primary data into maps and animations of your own, basic GIS materials are provided. Inference of CSI effects of changing landscape and weather characteristics is facilitated by the latest remotely sensed landscape and weather data products, which are also available from the repository.
