Busy week for CLINF coordinator Birgitta Evengård

2019-11-01

Between Stockholm and Helsinki, CLINF engaged in the debate on climate change and health.

For CLINF coordinator Birgitta Evengård the week started in Helsinki. On behalf of the Academy of Finland she was evaluating research proposals on the subject of “Climate Change and Health”, together with an international group of experts.

Back in Stockholm, Birgitta participated in the panel discussion of the Nordic Foreign Ministers on 30 Oct. This meeting was arranged as part of the opening ceremony of the exhibition “The Arctic – While the ice is melting” at the Nordic Museum in Stockholm.

Next week, directly after the CLINF Annual Project Meeting, Birgitta is invited to the workshop “Understanding and Responding to Global Health Security Risks from Microbial Threats in the Arctic”. This workshop is jointly organized by the US National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine and the European Academies Science Advisory under the Interacademy Partnership for Science Health Policy.
