2020-06-15

First publication in the CLINF Special Issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

A group of Russian collaborators together with CLINF coordinator Birgitta Evengård describes a lethal case of leptospirosis. At the same time they developed alternative ways of diagnosing this emerging infection, which can facilitate less demanding and fewer false negative case identification.

Full title of the publication: Lethal outcome of leptospirosis in southern Russia: Characterization of Leptospira interrogans isolated from a deceased teenager.
